[Action; inside 1338 Benny]

[Some people deal with teenage drama and fights with their best friends by drowning their sorrows in ice cream and shitty movies. Gamzee, on the other hand, drowns his sorrows in pies. Unfortunately, the human pies don't work half as well as his sopor ones do when it comes to making him feel better, plus his stomach starts hurting after he downs a whole tin for some reason. This hasn't stopped him from baking dozens and dozens of them, though.

Anyone who comes into the kitchen of 1338 Benny will find Gamzee covered head to toe in flour, as well as what looks to be a minor explosion of various ingredients all over the countertops, including several that have no business being anywhere near a pie. The table, meanwhile, is stacked with piping hot pies. If this were one of Karkat's paleromcoms, this would be the incredibly pathetic scene where Gamzee starts wailing the lyrics to "All By Myself (Don't Wanna Be Culled Anymore)" at the top of his lungs.]

[Action; outside 1338 Benny]

[Having been scolded by both drone parents because 'boys shouldn't be doing girly activities like baking', Gamzee has relocated his table of pies outdoors and is currently munching on a slice. Taped across the table is a large sign that reads:



Gamzee looks kind of lonely, come share a slice with him? There's three different types of pies to choose from:

1) Regular pies: through the power of miracles, Gamzee has actually managed to bake pies that most people would be familiar with, like apple and banana cream and cherry.

2) Stoner pies: the ingredients in these are kind of weird! You might get a strange but nonetheless delicious one, like peanut butter chocolate potato chips pie, or a pie filled with ice cream and soda. On the other hand, you might also get one with hamburger meat and strawberry syrup.

3) Pot pies: they look like normal pies, but Gamzee's added a special ingredient that the greasers at the high school said would make miracles happen. He's not sure how a bag full of what looks like grass is supposed to accomplish this, but humans can be pretty weird sometimes! Don't worry, there isn't enough pot in these pies to get anyone sick, just high.]

No, no! [[she shakes her head.]] When Karkat was upset, I talked to him on the telephone device. He said that he was angry at someone and he "did not want to see their stupid clown face". [[or something of that nature.]] Because they did something to him that hurt him.

she nods, although frowning a little. there is a pause before she walks around the table and sits on the ground beside gamzee.]]

I do not think you, or your face, are stupid. You are very nice and generous, I think. And your face is very neat to look at. However... Whatever you did, it upset Karkat very much. But, as I told him, if you are truly sorry, then he should try to find it in himself to forgive you. I do not know Karkat very well, but I very much hope he does that.

[[she smiles at him, doing her best to cheer him up and be reassuring.]] Even if you made a stupid mistake, you deserve a second chance! I did not know for sure before, because I did not know you... But now, I am positive that you are a good person who happened to do something hurtful on accident.

You really think so? Best friend's usually what all real nice as fuck, but it was a really, really motherfuckin' bad mistake of the unfunniest degree. I didn't mean to do it, but that don't change the fact that I really hurt him. He's got every motherfuckin' right to be fronting all the nasty emotions at me.

[chews on his lip for a second] He all up and left the hive a few days ago. I don't know if he's coming back....

I do not know what you did, but the way Karkat was speaking, it must have been bad, I assume. Still, if you understand what you did was bad, it is not right for him to hold it out against you for so long. Everyone makes mistakes, yes?

[[her smile widens.]] Again... I do not know what Karkat will do, and I do not know him as well as you do. But, he told me he did not plan to stay away forever, or for very long, even! I think that he just needs a little time away, to clear his head, and let everything bad pass over.

Did he...did he say anything about Terezi? I don't want them to be fighting anymore either.

I do not know anyone named Terezi... And he did not mention anyone with that name. [[she ponders for a few moments.]] He did bring up a girl. It was not a specific mention, it was a very brief thing, but he said something like... He thought she was important to him. And that you and that other person made him feel like nothing.

Is Terezi the other person involved in this? The girl?

Shiiiiiiit, that ain't true. Best friend's really, really, really motherfuckin' important to me too, I love him a lot. I know it's the same for blindtits, even if he ain't believing me or her about it. I just didn't have my thinkpan on right that night, I don't know why, otherwise I would have never done anything.

Yeah, that's her. I wish I knew how to make shit right between them again, it gets me down seeing them both all down because of this.

If you are truly sorry, and you have told him such, I do not know if there is anything more you can do, Gamzee. As you said, you must put faith in this friendship, and you must put faith in Karkat. [[one last pat on the head for good measure.]] I truly think it will turn out fine. You and Karkat are both good people.
